Jacob de Geer

Jacob de Geer is Co-Founder and former CEO of iZettle (now Zettle by PayPal), a Swedish fintech company that revolutionized mobile payments with the world's first mini chip card reader for mobile devices.
Jacob graduated with a Master of Science in Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics in 1999 and was the first employee at TradeDoubler, helping build one of Europe's largest advertising networks. He also co-founded and sold two companies, Ameibo and Tre Kronor Media, in 2010.
Jacob is recognized as one of the most influential leaders in fintech and has invested in multiple companies including MAJORITY, Qatalog, and Ark Kapital. He served as VP of Small Business Products at PayPal following the acquisition.
iZettle raised approximately 243 million euros from investors including Index Ventures, 83North, and Dawn Capital before being acquired by PayPal for 2.2 billion dollars in 2018, PayPal's largest acquisition at the time.
iZettle became the clear leader in European mobile payments and expanded to Latin America, serving millions of small businesses with its commerce platform. The company was recognized by Financial Times and World Economic Forum as one of Europe's most innovative and fastest growing companies.
