Jacob Zwang

Jacob Zwang is Co-Founder and CTO at Freestyle, a Y Combinator-backed cloud infrastructure company that runs and deploys code written by AI, built for the era of fullstack TypeScript development.
Jacob taught himself to code in elementary school, served as a technical lead for the WHO COVID-19 App Collective Team in high school, and dropped out of college to become a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Apple's Conversational Engineering department at just 19 years old.
Jacob is driven by a deep frustration with poor backend developer tools, and built Freestyle to eliminate the unnecessary layers that slow down modern software development.
After spending nearly two years at Apple delivering multiple projects to production at scale, Jacob left to co-found Freestyle alongside his longtime friend and co-founder Benjamin Swerdlow, backed by Y Combinator (S24) with $500K in pre-seed funding.
Freestyle has built an open-source framework, runtime, and cloud platform that unifies frontend and backend TypeScript development, enabling developers to build exceptional full-stack software in a fraction of the time.
