Jake Dyal is Co-Founder and CEO of Certus Core, a veteran-owned AI and data intelligence company headquartered in Tampa, Florida, serving U.S. defense and national security clients.

Jake studied Computer Science at Saint Louis University and built over 10 years of experience leading data teams, including serving as Chief Data Scientist at the Office of Special Technology/Intelligence Systems Support Office and holding roles at Global Technical Systems and the United States Army.

A recognized voice on AI in defense and national security, Jake speaks at major forums including the Irregular Warfare Center Symposium, SOFWEEK, and the PenFed Foundation Veteran Entrepreneur Program, and writes extensively on sensor fusion and agentic AI.

Jake co-founded Certus Core in 2021 alongside Timothy Toohill, drawing on firsthand experience supporting the U.S. Air Force to address a critical gap between data speed and accuracy in mission-critical environments.

Certus Core has raised $1.6M in seed funding from TampaBay Ventures and Capital Q Ventures, and supports operational missions across the U.S. Navy, Air Force, USSOCOM, and NASA, with its IBIS platform enabling decentralized sensor and robotics data integration using AI.
