Jake Lombardo is Co-Founder and CEO of Anodyne Nanotech, a Boston-based biotech company pioneering needle-free transdermal drug delivery through its proprietary HeroPatch microneedle platform.

Jake earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Union College and an M.Sc. in Innovation and Management from Tufts University, where the foundational microneedle technology was developed.

Jake brings a unique blend of biomedical engineering expertise and entrepreneurial acumen, further shaped by a lifetime of competitive team sports that informs his leadership approach.

Since co-founding Anodyne in 2019, Jake has led the company to raise $9.5M in funding, attract top pharma veterans to its board, and advance its lead GLP-1 patch asset toward clinical trials in 2026.

The HeroPatch platform has demonstrated preclinical ability to deliver multi-milligram doses of biologics transdermally, targeting chronic conditions including obesity, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and sarcopenia.
