Jason Kothari is the Founder and CEO of Mythik, a tech-first global entertainment company on a mission to bring Eastern mythology, history, and folktales to a worldwide audience of 3.5 billion people.
A Wharton alumnus, Jason acquired his favorite comic book company Valiant Entertainment out of bankruptcy at age 24, led its turnaround, and sold it to DMG Entertainment for $100 million, also serving as Executive Producer on the Sony Pictures film Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel.
Jason is a national bestselling author of Irrationally Passionate and believes that global entertainment has long been dominated by Western stories, making Mythik his bold bid to rebalance the narrative using cutting-edge AI and immersive technology.
Jason has held high-impact CEO and executive roles at Softbank-backed Housing.com (transforming it into a $350M industry leader), FreeCharge (leading its strategic sale to Axis Bank), and Snapdeal (turning a $20M monthly loss into profitability), and has advised Softbank, Noon, Emaar India, and Balaji Telefilms.
Mythik has raised $20M in total funding at a $50M+ valuation, grown revenue 786% year-on-year to Rs. 16.8 Cr in FY25, and assembled a 200-person team of veterans from Disney, Netflix, Amazon Studios, Jio, and Tencent.
