Jeff Green

Jeff Green is Co-Founder, CEO and Board Chairman of The Trade Desk, the world's largest independent demand-side platform for media buying. He previously founded AdECN, the first online advertising exchange, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2007.
Green earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brigham Young University and a degree in marketing communications from the University of Southern California. He worked at Microsoft as COO of AdECN Exchange and advised on strategy for the Online Services Division before co-founding The Trade Desk in 2009.
Green signed The Giving Pledge in 2021, committing to donate over 90 percent of his wealth during his lifetime. He and co-founder Dave Pickles were named Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year in 2017, and he was recognized as an American Marketing Association 40 under 40 emerging leader.
The Trade Desk went public on Nasdaq in September 2016 and grew revenue from $114 million in 2015 to $2.4 billion in 2024, with operations across 24 markets worldwide. Under Green's leadership, the company achieved a 95% customer retention rate for 27 consecutive quarters and joined the Nasdaq-100 in July 2023.
The Trade Desk has been recognized as one of Fortune's 100 Fastest-Growing Companies and named to the Fortune Future 50 list. The platform processed over $12 billion in gross ad spend in 2024, with CTV now representing 50% of the business, and the company has pioneered industry standards like Unified ID 2.0 for post-cookie advertising.
