Jibran Hutchins

Jibran Hutchins is Co-Founder and CEO at Haladir (YC W26), an AI-powered mainframe modernization company that helps enterprises transform legacy COBOL systems. The company is backed by Y Combinator and Susa Ventures.
Jibran studied Business Administration and Statistics/Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University before founding Haladir in 2025. He was previously a student at Stanford before dropping out to focus on Haladir.
Jibran was named a National Merit Commended Scholar and competed on the Carnegie Mellon cross country team. He co-founded Haladir with fellow National Merit scholars Preston Schmittou and Joseph Tso from his high school.
Haladir was accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch and raised pre-seed funding from Susa Ventures. The company generates comprehensive documentation from COBOL codebases and provides formal verification for code translation.
Haladir enables enterprises to understand millions of lines of legacy code without months of manual analysis. The company is building data and training infrastructure for verifiable domains to enable reinforcement learning to scale toward continuous self-improvement.
