Jie Sun is Co-Founder and CEO of ChemT Biotechnology, an AI-driven biotech company building the intelligence layer for biomanufacturing through its CelMo Virtual Cell platform.

Jie holds a degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and has held roles at MIT, the National University of Singapore, and Forbes, bringing deep expertise across AI, biotech, and data science.

Jie was invited to speak at AAAI 2026 to showcase ChemT's AI-driven Virtual Cell platform, and is an active mentor, judge, and board member across institutions including MIT, Harvard, and NUS.

Prior to ChemT, Jie co-founded basys.ai, a GenAI healthtech startup backed by leading global institutions, demonstrating a track record of building impactful ventures at the intersection of AI and life sciences.

Within just 18 months of launch, ChemT secured over 40 commercial partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CDMO companies globally, and raised $5M in total funding including a $4M seed round led by Wavemaker Ventures.
