Joaquin Fagalde is the Founder and CEO of Depay, an Argentine fintech building cross-border payment infrastructure that connects Real-Time Payment systems across Latin America via interoperable QR technology.

Fagalde studied Economics at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and went on to work at AB InBev, one of the world's largest beverage companies, where he led a crypto payments project in 2020.

While at AB InBev, Fagalde spent over a year trying to enable large-scale crypto payments and found no infrastructure capable of doing it efficiently, which became the founding insight behind Depay.

Alongside co-founders Federico Testoni (COO), Marcelo Sanchez (CTO), and Sebastian Kennel (CBO), Fagalde built Depay from the ground up, securing backing from Techstars, Stellar, Krealo VC, Seedstars, and DCG.

Depay now processes millions of transactions across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru, connecting 300+ wallets via a single API integration, with a projected payment volume exceeding USD 50 million in 2025.
