Jochen Madler

Jochen Madler is Co-Founder and Managing Director at pulse Energy GmbH, a spin-off from Technical University of Munich, Fraunhofer FiT, and Stanford University that provides smart energy management solutions for the renewable energy sector.
Jochen holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Management and Technology and a Master's in Finance and Information Management from TUM, and is a PhD student at the Chair of Business Analytics & Intelligent Systems at TUM School of Management.
His research focuses on optimization and deep reinforcement learning for power grids, particularly market design and battery control problems, and he previously conducted research at Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology and Stanford Sustainable Systems Lab.
