Johann Diep is Co-Founder and CTO at Uncovr, a surgical AI company building the system of record for surgery and endoscopy by automatically generating operative reports and procedural coding from surgical video.

Johann holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich, specializing in Robot Navigation, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision, and previously engineered autonomous tracking systems for the European Space Agency and built computer vision systems for the UK Ministry of Defence and the Swiss Armed Forces.

A proven AI innovator, Johann has won multiple Mistral AI hackathons and developed systems enabling robots to learn through observation, bringing deep expertise in autonomous systems to the operating room.

At Uncovr, Johann leads the technical architecture of a platform that analyzes surgical video in real time, identifying every instrument interaction and procedural step to generate compliant operative reports before the surgeon leaves the operating room.

Uncovr has raised $7M in seed funding led by Index Ventures, built a pipeline of 400 operating rooms, analyzed thousands of hours of surgical video, and deployed live across leading hospitals in the US and Europe.
