John Xing

John Xing is Co-Founder and CTO at Amigo, a healthcare AI platform building clinical agents that deliver safe, scalable patient care across more than 100 languages.
John earned dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, followed by an M.S.E. in Computer Science, before honing his AI engineering skills as a Software Engineer at Databricks.
John's passion for democratizing expertise was sparked in high school when Sal Khan's educational approach transformed his own learning, propelling him to place top 10 in the National Physics Olympiad.
Drawing from his time at Databricks building large-scale AI systems, John leads Amigo's agent architecture, pioneering the industry's first Digital Residency program that trains every clinical AI agent against millions of simulated patient cases until reaching a 100% safety pass rate.
Amigo has raised $17M in total funding including an $11M Series A led by Madrona with participation from Optum Ventures, and its agents have completed over 3 million patient encounters worldwide with zero safety incidents.
