John is Co-Founder and CEO at Inference.ai, a leading GPU infrastructure-as-a-service company providing AI startups with access to the world's largest fleet of GPUs for model training and inference.

John studied Computer Science at University of Waterloo and has over ten years of experience in hardware and infrastructure, previously founding Bifrost Cloud, a secure distributed data storage company.

Together with co-founder Michael Yu, John anticipated the GPU shortage and built relationships with over 20,000 data centers globally, positioning Inference.ai at the forefront of the AI boom.

Inference.ai raised a seed round in February 2024 from Maple VC, Cherubic Ventures, and Fusion Fund, offering GPU services up to 82% cheaper than hyperscalers like AWS, Google, and Microsoft.

Inference.ai provides access to over 15 different NVIDIA GPU SKUs with globally distributed data centers, enabling AI startups to overcome the severe GPU shortage where less than 6% of NVIDIA's latest GPUs reach startups.
