Jonathan Loesing is Co-Founder and CEO of Rex Technologies GmbH, a Berlin-based startup building and operating design-forward, tech-enabled veterinary clinics that are transforming pet healthcare in Germany.

Jonathan studied Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge, then spent three years as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company, focusing on M&A and digital business building.

A serial entrepreneur, Jonathan co-founded Forexfix in 2017, a B2B fintech startup for international FX risk management, which was successfully acquired by iBanFirst in 2019. He also serves as a Venture Scout at Picus Capital, helping early-stage founders access financing.

At Rex, Jonathan is pioneering a fully digitised veterinary experience, developing proprietary practice management software and a consumer app that covers online booking, telehealth, and e-commerce for pet products. Rex raised a EUR 5 million seed round in 2022 from Vorwerk Ventures, Picus Capital, and Calm/Storm.

Rex has expanded to multiple clinics across Berlin and is building a centralised health data platform that could enable preventative care and early disease detection across hundreds of thousands of pets.
