Joonas Rauramo

Joonas Rauramo is CEO of Coolbrook, a transformational technology company decarbonizing heavy industries including petrochemicals, steel, and cement through revolutionary RotoDynamic Technology that can cut 2.4 billion tons of annual CO2 emissions.
Joonas holds an M.Sc. in Economics (Finance) from Aalto University and spent over 15 years at Fortum, one of Europe's largest utility companies, serving as Vice President overseeing wind and solar business.
He joined Coolbrook in October 2021 as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Industrial Partnerships before being appointed CEO in January 2024. Joonas has forged partnerships with global industrial leaders including Shell, CEMEX, UltraTech Cement, and ArcelorMittal.
Under his leadership, Coolbrook has secured partnerships with ABB and received financing from Nefco to commercialize RotoDynamic Technology. The company was named to the 2026 Global Cleantech 100 list and selected as Financial Times Tech Champion 2022.
Coolbrook's technology can electrify industrial processes up to 1700 degrees Celsius and has the potential to reduce 30% of global industrial CO2 emissions. The company is deploying its first commercial projects at customer sites including UltraTech and Ambuja Cements.
