Jordan Long

Jordan Long is Co-Founder and CTO of Nectir, a purpose-built AI infrastructure platform transforming how students and educators engage in higher education.
Jordan grew up in Hawaii, attended Punahou School, and went on to study Environmental Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where the idea for Nectir was born from firsthand frustrations with the education system.
Jordan brings a technical vision rooted in accessibility and equity, championing AI that is FERPA-compliant, pedagogy-aligned, and built to serve every learner, not just the privileged few.
Since co-founding Nectir in 2018 alongside CEO Kavitta Ghai, Jordan has led the company's technical development from a classroom communication tool to a full-scale AI infrastructure platform trusted by 100+ institutions including Stanford and Boston University.
Nectir has raised over $18.8M in total funding, reached 80,000+ students across 100+ campuses, and secured a landmark deal with California Community Colleges giving access to 2.1 million students across 116 campuses.
