Joshua V. Dillon is the Founder of rekursiv.ai, an AI research company building autonomous AI Scientists that form hypotheses, run experiments, and discover new knowledge without human direction.

Joshua holds a PhD in machine learning from the Georgia Institute of Technology and spent over a decade at Google as a software engineer for research and machine intelligence, based in Mountain View, CA.

At Google, Joshua served as engineering lead for TensorFlow Probability, co-authoring the foundational TensorFlow Distributions paper and helping build one of the most widely used probabilistic programming libraries in the ML ecosystem.

After his decade at Google, Joshua briefly joined Periodic Labs before co-founding rekursiv.ai alongside Dan Kondratyuk, bringing a combined founding team with nearly 30 years of research experience across Google, DeepMind, and Luma AI.

rekursiv.ai's AI Scientists have already discovered novel algorithms through thousands of autonomous experiments, with the team's ambition to scale to millions of scientists producing billions of discoveries.
