Josiah Saunders is the Co-Founder and CTO of Voquill, a Y Combinator-backed AI platform helping pathologists write case reports faster using voice and agentic AI.

Josiah graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Computer Science and went on to build deep expertise in full-stack development and AI-powered healthcare systems.

Described by colleagues as a technical wizard, Josiah brings a rare combination of architectural depth and user-focused precision, earning a reputation for solving complex problems with innovative approaches.

Prior to Voquill, Josiah led the forward-deployed engineering team at Techcyte, building AI pathology platforms deployed at Mayo Clinic, Quest, and Labcorp, and previously served as a founding engineer at Relay Health (YC S22).

Voquill is already in active use by 25 pathologists at a leading F500 lab, saving each one roughly 20% in daily case writing time while helping labs recover a portion of the $8B+ left on the table annually from billing gaps.
