Dr. Jukka Holappa is Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer at AQ Biotech, a Finnish biotech company commercializing a patented antibody-free phage-biosensor method to revolutionize early disease detection.

Jukka earned his PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Eastern Finland, specializing in polymer materials, before spending his 30s in drug development and founding his own healthcare service company.

In his 40s, Jukka served the Finnish government in senior trade leadership roles based in India and London, building deep expertise in international markets and cross-border business development.

At AQ Biotech, Jukka leads operations and business development, driving the company's global expansion strategy including two joint ventures in China anchored through a Hong Kong hub ahead of a Series A round.

AQ Biotech collaborates with world-class research institutions in Finland, China, and the US, with clinical partnerships targeting early detection of prostate, urinary tract, and oral cancers as well as Parkinson's disease.
