Julian Lechner is Co-Founder and Managing Director at Rex Technologies GmbH, a Berlin-based startup building modern, design-forward, tech-enabled veterinary clinics across Germany.

Julian earned an M.Sc. in International Business from Stockholm School of Economics and the CEMS Master in International Management, and pursued a PhD in Entrepreneurship at TU Dortmund University.

Julian brings a rare blend of strategic consulting, private equity, and entrepreneurship, having identified a major gap in the digitisation of veterinary care for a new generation of pet owners.

Prior to co-founding Rex, Julian spent a significant portion of his career at McKinsey and Company, and later worked as an Investment Professional at FLEX Capital, a private equity fund.

Rex raised a EUR 5 million Seed round in 2022 led by Vorwerk Ventures, with participation from Picus Capital and Calm/Storm, and has expanded to multiple veterinary practices across Berlin.
