Julie Böhning

Julie Böhning is Co-Founder and CEO of PAVE Space SA, a Swiss space infrastructure company building the orbital logistics backbone for the next generation of the space economy.
Julie studied engineering at EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne), where she and co-founder Jeremy Marciacq began building rockets together as students, laying the technical foundation for everything that followed.
Julie co-founded the Gruyere Space Program, Europe's first reusable rocket initiative, where the team completed 53 test flights on just CHF 250,000 in sponsorship funding, a testament to her philosophy of rapid, capital-efficient iteration.
At PAVE Space, Julie is leading development of a family of orbital transfer vehicles capable of moving satellites from LEO to GEO or lunar trajectories in under 24 hours, cutting a process that previously took 6 to 12 months.
Under Julie's leadership, PAVE Space raised a $40 million seed round, one of the largest in the global space sector, and has already secured 8 reservation agreements with satellite operators ahead of its first in-space demonstration mission.
