Junaid Hussain

Junaid Hussain is Co-Founder of Agon, a London and Berlin-based defence AI startup building sovereign synthetic battlefield infrastructure to train and validate autonomous weapon systems for European defence.
Hussain studied Philosophy and Languages at the University of Cambridge and went on to become a Partner at Kingsway Capital, a global investment firm managing approximately $5 billion, where he built its digital assets portfolio.
A prolific serial entrepreneur and former investor, Hussain sees the convergence of AI, gaming technology, and defence as a generational opportunity to shift modern warfare from platform supremacy to algorithmic supremacy.
Prior to Agon, Hussain co-founded Cambridge Aerospace, a defence tech unicorn approaching a $3.5 billion valuation, and co-founded Iconic, a Google-backed AI gaming company, alongside founding HodlCo, his deep-tech investment vehicle.
Agon emerged from stealth in July 2026 with $30 million in seed funding backed by Lakestar, Lux Capital, Northzone, and XYZ Venture Capital, marking one of the largest defence technology seed rounds in Europe that year.
