Justin Tang (Justin Wang-Lap Tang) is Co-Founder and CTO at Lantern AI, a Y Combinator-backed agentic recruiting platform helping enterprise teams identify and hire the best talent using AI.

Justin studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where he also served as Vice President of Finance and Information Technology at AIESEC in CUHK, building an early foundation in both tech and leadership.

A competitive programmer with over 15 years of coding experience, Justin has grown into a full-stack builder who personally led the design and development of Lantern's conversational AI recruiter from scratch.

Prior to Lantern AI, Justin co-founded Career Hackers and held leadership roles at AIESEC across finance and digital intelligence, giving him deep exposure to recruiting and HR technology.

Lantern AI, part of the YC Fall 2026 cohort, has achieved $1M ARR within 11 months and helped enterprise clients fill hard-to-fill roles within their first week on the platform.
