Kais Khimji

Kais Khimji is Founder and CEO of Blockit AI, an AI-powered calendar scheduling platform that uses intelligent agents to negotiate meeting times autonomously. The company raised $5 million in seed funding led by Sequoia Capital in January 2026.
Khimji spent six years as a partner at Sequoia Capital from 2019 to 2024, where he invested in companies like Grafana Labs, Clipboard Health, and Cresta. Prior to Sequoia, he worked as an Associate at Insight Partners and studied Social Studies with a focus on Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Harvard University.
Khimji revived an idea he originally developed as a Harvard student about 10 years ago, turning it into Blockit AI. He stepped back from Sequoia in 2024 to focus full-time on building the startup, following a path similar to other Sequoia alumni like Nubank founder David Velez.
Blockit AI is already being used by over 200 companies, including Together.ai, Brex, and venture firms like a16z, Accel, and Index. The platform is priced at $1,000 annually for individuals and $5,000 for team licenses.
Sequoia general partner Pat Grady, who led the investment, stated that Blockit has a chance to become a $1 billion-plus revenue business. Co-founder John Han brings over 10 years of experience building calendar products at Google Calendar, Timeful, and Clockwise.
