Kevin Li is Co-Founder and CMO at jo (YC W24), a privacy-first personal AI assistant that runs on macOS and a dedicated private cloud machine, designed to know and serve users autonomously.

Kevin is a University of Waterloo dropout and seasoned consumer tech builder with prior stints at Yahoo, Kabam, and MessageMe, and has been building consumer products since the mid-2000s.

A two-time Y Combinator founder, Kevin co-founded Farmstead (YC S16), an AI-powered grocery delivery startup, before reuniting with co-founder Pradeep Elankumaran to build jo a decade later.

At jo, Kevin leads marketing and growth strategy, helping shape a voice-first AI product that integrates with Telegram, WhatsApp, and macOS while maintaining strict user data privacy with no training on personal data.

jo launched its public beta in December 2024 to strong reception, backed by Y Combinator and investors including Antigravity Capital, Hypothesis Studio, and Resolute Ventures, with $500K raised to date.
