Krishang Todi

Krishang Todi is Co-Founder and CEO at Aegis, an AI platform automating health insurance denial appeals for healthcare providers. Aegis is part of Y Combinator's Spring 2025 (X25) batch and is based in San Francisco.
Krishang studied Economics and Computational Finance at Carnegie Mellon University, where he developed expertise in AI applications for healthcare and finance. He previously worked as a Fixed Income Summer Analyst at DSP Mutual Fund, one of India's leading investment firms, where he conducted risk modeling.
Krishang co-founded Aegis with close friends Aarav Bajaj and Dhanya Shah after witnessing the healthcare system's inefficiencies firsthand. The idea emerged when co-founder Aarav's anesthesia claim was denied, revealing a $260 billion problem in the US healthcare system.
Aegis has raised $500,000 from investors including Y Combinator, Rebel Fund, and The Impact Venture. The platform cuts appeal costs by 80% and reduces filing time from over 2 hours to under 2 minutes.
Aegis automates the entire insurance appeals process, integrating with EHRs, clearinghouses, and payer portals to help providers recover lost revenue. With over 50% of appeals being successful yet fewer than 15% of denials appealed, Aegis addresses a critical gap in healthcare billing.
