Kristóf Floch

Kristóf Floch is Co-Founder and CTO at Theseus Robotics, a Y Combinator-backed startup building humanoid robots and Physical AI to automate shelf restocking and order picking in supermarkets.
Kristóf studied Robotics, Systems and Control at ETH Zürich as an Excellence Scholar, and previously conducted research in high-performance learning-based control at ETH Zürich and SZTAKI (Hungary).
He is a first-author in IEEE TCST and ECC publications, won 1st prize at the EELISA 2024 Student Scientific Contest, and was featured as an ETH Foundation talent for his work on the future of robotics.
Before Theseus Robotics, Kristóf served as VP of Technology at the ETH Robotics Club, leading 120 students across six teams, and the company is the first-ever spinoff from that club.
Theseus Robotics, selected for Slush 100 2026 and backed by Y Combinator Fall 2026, is deploying autonomous dual-arm robots in Swiss supermarkets offered as Robotics-as-a-Service, targeting both daytime order picking and overnight shelf restocking.
