Kyle Cordova

Kyle E. Cordova is the Founder and CEO of AquaPoro Technologies, a globally recognized materials chemist and deep-tech innovator dedicated to solving the world's water scarcity crisis through Nobel Prize-winning chemistry.
Born and raised in Anaheim, California, Kyle holds a Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from UCLA and a Bachelor's in Chemistry and Political Science from San Diego State University. Prior to AquaPoro, he served as Executive Director for Scientific Research at Jordan's Royal Scientific Society and as Senior Assistant for Scientific Affairs to HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan.
Kyle is a prolific researcher cited over 29,000 times in scientific literature, with deep expertise in porous nanomaterials and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). His fascination with climate innovation began at age 28, focused on CO2 capture, which ultimately led him to pioneer atmospheric water harvesting.
In 2022, Kyle founded AquaPoro Technologies to commercialize atmospheric water harvesting technology invented in his research lab, raising a $5M seed round led by Breakout Ventures with participation from Cerberus Ventures, Humba Ventures, and One Small Planet. AquaPoro's proprietary ALMA technology was recognized in UNICEF's Innovation 30 as one of the world's most promising climate resilience technologies.
AquaPoro's technology produces up to 35 liters of water daily at just 20% relative humidity and uses ten times less energy than competing solutions. The company is set to break ground on the world's first continuous-flow atmospheric water harvesting system at UC Riverside, with commercial interest from a leading national beverage manufacturer and a multinational water treatment leader.
