Lalith Suresh

Lalith Suresh is CEO and Co-Founder of Feldera, the world's first incremental compute platform purpose-built for AI, ML, and data teams, enabling real-time SQL use cases to be shipped in days instead of months.
Lalith holds a PhD in Computer Science from Technische Universitat Berlin and spent seven years (2016-2023) as a Senior Researcher at VMware Research in Palo Alto, where he led efforts to simplify cluster management for large-scale distributed systems.
Lalith has published over 30 papers on distributed systems, networking, and databases, and his research projects at VMware uncovered more than 40 reliability bugs in popular open-source Kubernetes controllers.
At VMware Research, Lalith co-developed the Differential Datalog incremental data processing library, which saw deployment across thousands of customers in VMware Skyline's cloud service, and contributed to the invention of the DBSP streaming algebra in 2022.
Feldera raised a $15.4M Series A led by Innovia Venture Fund with participation from Battery Ventures and Costanoa Ventures, bringing total funding to approximately $21.5M, and its engine processes millions of events per second for use cases spanning financial risk, fraud detection, and security policy management.
