Lander Degrève

Lander Degreve is Co-Founder and CEO of Spott (YC W25), the first AI-native applicant tracking system and CRM platform built specifically for recruitment and staffing agencies.
After earning an MSc in Finance from Bocconi University and an internship in investment banking at JPMorgan, Lander joined Bain and Company, where he led HR-tech strategy projects and built an AI job-matching tool inside the firm.
Lander met his co-founders Samuel Smeys and Manu Vanderveeren at KU Leuven through BRIKS, a student investment club, and the trio identified the same pattern across consulting clients: recruiters spending half their day on admin instead of placing people.
In late 2024, Lander quit consulting to build Spott from scratch, taking it through Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch, raising a $3.2M seed led by Base10, and then closing a $21M Series A led by Balderton Capital in September 2026.
Spott's revenue grew more than 10x since early 2026, with over 500 agencies across Europe, the US, and APAC running their business on the platform daily.
