Lavi Ferdman

Lavi Ferdman is Co-Founder and SVP of Growth at Upwind Security, a runtime-first cloud security platform protecting modern cloud infrastructure and applications. He leads GTM strategy and growth efforts for the company.
Lavi earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies in Israel. He served in the Israeli military's prestigious Mamram unit as a team leader, where he worked alongside his future co-founders.
Prior to co-founding Upwind, Lavi led strategy and sales at Spot.io, which was acquired by NetApp for $450 million in 2020. At IBM, he earned multiple prestigious awards including the Sales Eminence Award and the Manager's Choice Award.
Upwind has raised $430 million in total funding, achieving unicorn status with a $1.5 billion valuation in its Series B round. The company has achieved 900% revenue growth and serves global enterprises including Siemens, Peloton, Roku, and NuBank.
Under Lavi's growth leadership, Upwind has expanded to over 300 employees across offices in the US, UK, Israel, Iceland, Australia, India, Singapore, and Japan. The company was named among The Information's 50 Most Promising Startups for 2024.
