Lei Shi is Founder and CEO of LabEx, an interactive platform providing hands-on labs in Linux, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Programming, and Data Science through AI-powered learning environments.

Lei Shi studied at Peking University and worked at VMware, a cloud computing startup, and on the SimpleCloud IaaS Project before founding LabEx in 2017.

Lei is based in Beijing, China and has also founded one other company prior to LabEx.

LabEx was founded in 2017 and is in the Seed funding stage, competing with platforms like Pluralsight, Galvanize, and Codecademy.

LabEx has grown to 8 employees and provides interactive, AI-powered learning that eliminates passive videos and enables learners to engage in structured, skill-based learning paths for practical, job-ready tech skills.
