Linus von Ekensteen Löfgren

Linus von Ekensteen Löfgren is Co-Founder and CTO at Halmos Labs (YC F26), a pioneering automated biotech R&D company building closed-loop research systems for the biotech and pharma industries.
Linus earned an MSc in Engineering Physics and a BA in Economics from Lund University, and also completed an exchange at Simon Fraser University, building a rare fusion of quantitative rigor and software depth.
His master's thesis developed novel time-dependent calibration methods for the Hull-White interest rate model, and he won 1st place at the IEEE AP-S International Student Design Contest for a Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface.
Prior to Halmos Labs, Linus served as a Desk Quant at Danske Bank building pricing algorithms and risk models, conducted LLM membership inference security research at AI Sweden, explored quantum computing at Chalmers, and developed full-stack software at Viscando.
Halmos Labs secured $500K in seed funding through Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch, with its flagship product Halmos Bio targeting the slow and costly biotech R&D cycle by maximizing information gained per experiment.
