Lorenzo Demaio is Co-Founder at Pillar, a Milan-based AI-native fintech startup building the operating system for the construction industry across Europe and Latin America.

Lorenzo studied Information Technology and Web Design at ITIS Vito Volterra and attended the University of Padua, before founding multiple tech ventures including Kurt, Posh, and Naki.

With deep roots in consumer and mobile tech, Lorenzo brings hands-on product and engineering expertise to one of the world's most underdigitized industries, where most companies still rely on WhatsApp, PDFs, and Excel.

At Pillar, Lorenzo co-founded the company alongside Gabriel Guinea Montalvo and Paolo Tarsia Incuria in 2023, helping grow the platform to hundreds of construction clients and over 460,000 invoices processed within its first year.

Pillar has raised a total of 15.2M euros across a 3.2M euro pre-seed and a 12M euro seed round led by Earlybird Venture Capital and Base10 Partners, with ambitions to reach 5,000 active clients and expand across Europe and Latin America by 2027.
