Louis Dorval is Co-Founder and CEO of Viamo, a global social enterprise improving lives by connecting digitally disconnected communities through mobile technology across more than 33 countries.

Louis grew up in Montreal, studied at McGill University, and earned an MBA as a Skoll Scholar at the University of Oxford's Said Business School, where he graduated on the Dean's List.

While volunteering with Engineers Without Borders Canada in Ghana, Louis witnessed a mobile phone boom and asked how technology could reach the world's most underserved populations, which sparked the founding of Viamo.

Louis co-founded VOTO Mobile (now Viamo) in 2013 alongside Mark Boots, previously serving as Founding Managing Director of Meltwater Labs and Managing Director of the MEST Incubator, guiding Ghana-based software startups.

Viamo has reached over 30 million people with hundreds of diverse services, operates in over 33 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, and Louis was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 in 2021.
