Lucia Lencioni is Co-Founder and CEO of Wearable Robotics, an Italian deep-tech startup pioneering wearable robotic exoskeletons for neuromotor rehabilitation and industrial human-power augmentation.
An engineer with over 23 years of industry experience spanning the Fiat Group, New Holland, Iveco, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati, Lucia brings deep mechanical and operational expertise to the robotics space. She is also a Professional Affiliate at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa.
Lucia champions the vision of modular, scalable wearable robotics that generate measurable impact across the full rehabilitation continuum, from acute care to long-term recovery. Her leadership bridges rigorous academic research and real-world commercial execution.
Under her leadership, Wearable Robotics secured a 5 million euro Series A round led by CDP Venture Capital, with participation from MITO Technology, LIFTT, SIMEST, RoboIT, and the Toscana Next co-investment fund.
The company's flagship device, ALEX RS, a robotic exoskeleton for upper limb rehabilitation, has been deployed in over 50 centers globally, with international expansion targeting key North American markets.
