Lucky Zhang

Lucky Zhang is the Founder and CEO of Sekai, an AI-native consumer platform that instantly transforms text prompts into playable, shareable interactive mini-apps, games, and tools.
Zhang studied at Williams College and began his career as a software engineer at Google before becoming a serial entrepreneur with a decade of experience building and scaling consumer platforms globally.
Zhang holds two major exits, having sold Yi+ AI to Apple in 2017 and Blacktail Technology to ByteDance in 2020, and he views AI-generated mini apps as the next media format shift after short-form video.
Prior to Sekai, Zhang founded Blacktail Technology, whose short-video platform Kalo became Latin America's largest Spanish-language platform, and led NCT Corporation to become one of Southeast Asia's largest music streaming services with over 30 million users.
Sekai has generated over 15 million mini apps with 200,000 created daily, raised $26M across Seed and Series A rounds led by Khosla Ventures, Connect Ventures, a16z Speedrun, and Mayfield, with users averaging over an hour of engagement per day.
