Luke Button is Co-Founder at Hedge Specialty, a YC-backed (P26) AI-native specialty insurance company helping brokers access faster and cheaper coverage for complex risks.

Luke studied at St. John's University and built deep expertise across growth and insurtech, previously founding Fernstone, an AI-powered retail insurance brokerage.

Luke believes the future of specialty insurance lies in rebuilding workflows around AI from day one, displacing the heavily manual and human-driven incumbents that dominate the market today.

Prior to Hedge Specialty, Luke led growth at Traba (Series A, Founders Fund-backed), closing major enterprise customers like JB Hunt, served as Head of Growth at Antimetal, and co-founded Contrast, which was acquired.

Hedge Specialty is already partnering with some of the fastest-growing brokerages in the E&S market, targeting billion-dollar incumbents that still spend nearly 60% of revenue on manual labor.
