Lyem Ningthou

Lyem Ningthou is Co-Founder of Asimov (YC W26), a pioneering robotics data infrastructure company building the world's most diverse dataset of real-world human movement to train humanoid robots.
Lyem studied Computer Science at UC Berkeley (Class of 2026) and previously served as a defense tech robotics researcher, building data pipelines for the United States Air Force, and as a Founding Engineer at Blume (YC W24).
Lyem brings rare cross-sector expertise spanning defense-grade ML systems and early-stage startup execution, giving Asimov a unique technical edge in hardware and data pipeline design.
Prior to Asimov, Lyem gained industry experience at FLIP, the USDA, and Numerator, and co-founded a prior startup with his Asimov co-founder Anshul Verma that grew to six figures in revenue.
Asimov, backed by Y Combinator (W26), already supplies the largest humanoid robotics labs in the world with thousands of hours of organic human movement data daily, targeting a $1B+ and rapidly growing market.
