Maged Helmy, PhD is the Founder and CEO of Newcode.ai, a configurable agentic AI platform purpose-built for law firms and government agencies, headquartered in Oslo, Norway.

Maged completed his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oslo and serves as an Associate Professor, bringing over eight years of enterprise-grade AI experience across industries including medtech and government.

Maged identified the legal sector as uniquely document-heavy and process-intensive, and was an early mover in legal AI, building Newcode from the GPT-2 era before generative AI went mainstream.

Prior to Newcode.ai, Maged held AI roles at ODI Medical AS, Cognite, the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency, and the University of South-Eastern Norway, giving him deep cross-sector AI deployment expertise.

Newcode.ai has raised $20M in 2026 across a $6.5M Seed and $13.5M Series A backed by Relativity's Rel Labs and OnDean Forward, and now serves over 60 law firms and government agencies across Europe and the US.
