Manu Vanderveeren

Manu Vanderveeren is Co-Founder and COO at Spott, an AI-native ATS and CRM platform purpose-built for recruitment and staffing agencies, backed by Y Combinator and Balderton Capital.
Manu holds a Master's degree in Financial Analysis from London Business School and built his career at McKinsey and Company, advising on strategy, technology due diligence, and HR projects, with earlier internships in investment banking and private equity at Morgan Stanley and CVC Capital Partners.
Having worked directly with recruitment businesses at elite consulting firms, Manu and his co-founders identified a critical gap: agencies were losing hours to fragmented, outdated software while under intense pressure to cut costs and increase placements.
Spott was founded in November 2024 alongside university friends Lander Degreve and Samuel Smeys, and was accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch, rapidly growing from seed to a $21M Series A led by Balderton Capital in under a year.
Spott now serves over 500 recruitment agencies daily across five continents, with revenue growing more than tenfold in 2026 and a global footprint spanning Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America.
