Maria Chiara Ubaldi is Founder and CEO of CareGlance S.r.l., an Italian deep-tech company pioneering ultra-high-precision 3D infrared sensors and Swept Source OCT imaging systems for Industry 4.0 and 5.0 applications.

With over two decades of expertise in photonic technologies spanning telecommunications and renewable energy, Maria Chiara built her career in R&D and project management roles, including at Pirelli's optical division and the CIFE Foundation (International Centre of Photonics for Energy), before graduating from Politecnico di Milano.

She has authored over 30 international publications, contributed to a Springer-Verlag volume in Applied Physics, and holds three international patents, reflecting her rare combination of deep scientific rigor and entrepreneurial drive.

As CEO, Maria Chiara leads CareGlance's R&D, quality control, and investment strategy, securing a Seed round of 3.5 million euros from CDP Venture Capital, Eureka Venture, and LIFTT to accelerate commercialisation of its proprietary OCT technology.

CareGlance's SS-OCT systems are transforming smart process control in laser welding, additive manufacturing, and semiconductor inspection, with the technology capable of reducing industrial swept source costs by 50% and enabling real-time AI-driven quality monitoring across automotive, aerospace, and agrifood sectors.
