Marianna Lopert-schaye

Marianna Lopert-Schaye is Managing Director and Global Head of Strategic Partnerships, Investments & Innovation (SPIN) at BNY, where she serves as a collaborative investor building pathways between emerging technology companies and the traditional banking industry.
Marianna began her career at Goldman Sachs in Sydney in 2010, spending over 13 years across sales and trading, corporate strategy, and strategic investing roles, rising to Managing Director and Head of Strategic Investments for the Americas.
She holds executive education credentials from The Wharton School and dual degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney, where she earned a University Medal.
At BNY, Marianna leads strategic fintech investments, oversees the BNY Ascent innovation program, and manages global Innovation Centers in New York, London, and Singapore, with board roles at Quantexa, Coin Metrics, Symphony, and Conquest Planning.
Through her SPIN team at BNY, Marianna has championed investments in high-growth fintech firms including Luminary, which supports over $500 billion in client assets, and backed Illuminate Financial's $235 million venture fund.
