Maryanne Alhallak

Maryanne Alhallak is Co-Founder and CEO of Lumeria, a Y Combinator S26-backed skin health startup building the Lumoscope, a multispectral camera that clips onto your phone to scan skin at home with the same imaging technology used in clinics.
A Syrian refugee who came to America without knowing English, Maryanne graduated high school at sixteen, was admitted to UC Berkeley for a BS in Bioengineering and BA in Economics at 15, and became a published author at age 9.
While shadowing a dermatologist, Maryanne observed the gap between clinic-grade multispectral imaging tools and what patients could access at home, and that question became the foundation for Lumeria.
Prior to Lumeria, Maryanne founded a 7-time nationally award-winning biotech startup building a microfluidics device to analyze nutritional content in food, which she exited to a healthcare company under NDA by age 19, and completed strategy work at Flex, Pfizer, and PBS.
Lumeria has been recognized as the most innovative startup among 240+ universities worldwide, is patent pending, has conducted 150+ customer interviews, and has established 2 clinical partnerships with dermatologists, with the Lumoscope shipping in Fall 2026.
