Masood Naqshbandi is Chief Commercial Officer at Kimia, the first AI-powered chemical intelligence platform built to help chemical companies turn institutional expertise into measurable commercial results.

Born in Afghanistan and raised in Sydney, Masood earned a Master's Degree in Materials Chemistry and Photonics from the University of Sydney in 2013, going on to conduct research at Osaka University and UTFPR in Brazil.

A serial entrepreneur at the intersection of science and technology, Masood co-founded Abyss Solutions in 2014, scaling it to over 200 employees, A$20M raised, and 8-figure annual revenue using AI for critical infrastructure inspection.

At Abyss Solutions, Masood served as CCO and built high-performing commercial teams that delivered consistent revenue growth, forging partnerships with global enterprises including BP and BAE Systems.

At Kimia, Masood drives go-to-market strategy as the platform reaches enterprise clients such as Bostik, Univar Solutions, and Stahl, backed by $7M in seed funding from Airtree Ventures, Blackbird Ventures, and Skip Capital.
