Mathieu graduated from CentraleSupelec and earned a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Columbia University. He previously co-founded Manty, a govtech startup offering decision-support platforms for local governments, which he led for 7 years.
Mathieu combines expertise in synthetic biology, applied mathematics, and AI to transform microorganisms into programmable molecular factories. He also serves as an angel investor, supporting deep tech and biotech startups.
baCta raised €3.3M in pre-seed funding in October 2024 and €7M in seed funding in March 2026, bringing total funding to €10.3M from investors including LocalGlobe, Daphni, and OVNI Capital.
