Matteo Cernuschi

Matteo Cernuschi is the Co-Founder and COO of ANote Music, Europe's leading marketplace for buying, selling, and earning from music royalties, bridging the worlds of finance and the music industry. He is a Forbes Under 30 class of 2022 honoree, recognized for his role in democratizing access to music royalties as an investable asset class.
Matteo previously worked in IT consultancy at Ernst and Young in Luxembourg, specializing in Business Process Modeling, and held roles at SES Satellites and the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce of Texas. He holds a Master's in International Management from IE Business School in Madrid and a BSc in Business Management and Financial Markets from Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and completed a graduate course in Sustainable Finance at Harvard University.
The idea for ANote Music was sparked in 2017 when Matteo and co-founder Marzio Schena, watching the Sanremo Music Festival, identified a gap in the market for direct public investment in music royalties. His background as a tax advisor, combined with Schena's fund management expertise, laid the financial foundation for the venture.
ANote Music was accepted into Luxembourg's Fit 4 Start accelerator in 2019, raised over 3.3M euros across multiple rounds including backing from Seventure Partners and Algorand Foundation, and recently closed a 2M euro round to scale across Europe. The platform operates both a primary auction market and a live secondary order book, covering 35 catalogues and over 52,000 accounts.
ANote Music has facilitated over 28 million euros in trades and distributed more than 1 million euros in royalties to investors since its 2020 public launch. The platform has redefined music rights as an accessible alternative asset class for retail investors across Europe.
