Matthew Brezina

Matthew Brezina is Founder, General Partner, and Managing Director at Ford Street Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on pre-seed and seed investments. He is a twice-exited founder who has invested in over 80 startups including Dropbox, Ring, Function of Beauty, Cruise, and Mercury.
Matthew graduated from Penn State in 2003 with a B.S. in electrical engineering and attended the University of Maryland for a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. He co-founded Xobni in 2006 (acquired by Yahoo for over $60 million in 2013) and Sincerely in 2011 (acquired by Provide Commerce/FTD in 2013).
Matthew was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2006 batch and served as an early scout for CRV and Spark Capital. He has been deeply involved in over 12 M&A transactions and started the Penn State Summer Founders Program.
Xobni's Microsoft Outlook application was downloaded over 10 million times and praised by Bill Gates as the next generation of social networking. Sincerely's network reached 1.4 million members who sent cards and gifts to over 900,000 homes.
As an angel investor since 2008, Matthew has backed companies across diverse markets including B2B SaaS, Fintech, HealthTech, Climate Tech, and Hardware across the US, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Europe. He founded KidSafeSF, a movement to make streets safe for walking and biking.
