Matthew Putman

Matthew Putman is the Founder and CEO of CubeFabs, a pioneering AI-driven modular semiconductor fabrication company, and the CEO of its parent company, Nanotronics, a New York City-based industrial AI firm.
Putman earned a B.A. in Music and Theater from Baldwin-Wallace University, then went on to receive a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Columbia University, where he also served as a professor and researcher.
He has published more than 30 papers and is an inventor on more than 50 patent applications covering manufacturing, automation, inspection, and artificial intelligence, and is a founding member of the Quantum Industry Coalition.
Putman co-founded Nanotronics in 2010, growing it into a company that has raised over $130M from investors including Peter Thiel, and previously served as VP of Development at Tech Pro, Inc., opening 13 offices globally and leading two acquisitions.
CubeFabs is building modular AI-powered chip factories that cost as little as $30-40M and can be assembled in under a year, aiming to democratize semiconductor manufacturing worldwide.
