Matthias Heinrich Morales

Matthias Heinrich Morales is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Plato, a Berlin-based AI operating system transforming the global wholesale distribution industry. Plato raised $14.5M in seed funding led by Atomico to automate sales, quoting, and ERP workflows for distributors.
Matthias studied Management & Technology at Technical University of Munich, earning his Master's degree in Computer Science and Management from 2019 to 2021, and holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from WHU. He also completed the prestigious CDTM program and received multiple scholarships including BMBF, DAAD, and Elite Network of Bavaria.
Matthias serves as an early-stage investor at Flash Ventures with investments ranging from $100K to $5M. He is multilingual with native proficiency in Spanish and German, professional English, and limited French.
Plato was founded in 2024 after the team built the first version inside co-founder Benedikt Nolte's family distribution business. The company secured a $6M pre-seed round in 2024, followed by a $14.5M seed round in February 2026, with backing from Cherry Ventures, Discovery Ventures, and D11Z.
Plato's platform delivers up to 15% revenue uplift, saves 5 hours per week per employee, and achieves 10x higher sales efficiency. The company has secured six-figure contracts with several of Europe's largest distributors and is expanding internationally across Europe and the United States.
